GENERAL FEATURES
The flame arresters are passive devices that prevent the propagation of flame from the exposed side of a pipe to the protected side by the use of a wound crimped metal ribbon type flame cell element.
This construction produces a series of uniform openings that are carefully constructed to quench the flame by absorbing the heat of the flame.
This provides an extinguishing barrier to the ignited vapor mixture. In the choice of the flame arrester must be taken into account the gas group according to the MESG of the treated gas mixture. The series 422.2 is a family of IN-LINE deflagration flame arresters EN.16852, certified according to Atex, and PED for gas group IIA, IIB and IIC.
They are manufactured by a complete range of materials and in a complete range of size.
